Once in awhile a click from me?...

Well the person in this picture prompted me to hold on for a moment to reconsider and think of how lives are full of optimisms and passion is the beginning of many first steps toward the next.

As a facebook user, I admit to be more of a passive user rather that a hyper participant in the world of social  sites. However, the person above gave me the rush of urgency to click the share button in facebook which normally would not be my way of doings.

In this " Hyped Up World", Rose the 87 years old woman is the epitome of passion that never dies. She enrolled as a college student in her golden age to pursue her dream of entering a college for education. Yes, your wow factor till this point is correct as Rose has just recently received her college degree and students across her batch are full of admiration of her passion and attitude that the coming of an age is not an excuse to halt our dreams and goals in our lives.

She left a huge impression on me during a portion of her speech which goes by ' We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing', well she is right. As human, we compete fairly in this competitive world but she is an elder who could perform as much as a person half a century younger than her in the college and receiving much respect and admiration from her friends which are groups of hopeful who are at their prime age of pursuing higher education. She beat the perception that golden age citizen should just enjoy their lives and merely taking care of grandchildren as what most of people at such ages should be doing. The passion she has allows her to drive on her dream of entering college and mingles with new social groups while continuing her duty as a grandparent. Respect is not enough for her but I feel that we need to understand and stop for the moment to think how we could accumulate from her positive attitudes. Quote such as ' Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you' by Oprah Winfrey fits the bill!
